Oud for Grace opens sharp — bergamot and black pepper, more tension than brightness — before praline works a gourmand thread through the middle. The base is where it actually lives: oud, sandalwood, cedarwood and guaiac wood build a dense, smoky floor, and vanilla keeps the whole thing warm rather than sweet.

THREE MOMENTS, ONE EVOLVING SCENT
Bergamot arrives first, but it's black pepper doing the actual work — sharpening the citrus into something closer to friction than freshness. There's no soft landing here; the opening reads as controlled tension from the first minute.
Praline arrives soft and toasted, closer to burnt sugar and hazelnut than dessert. It never gets to dominate — the pepper from the opening is still lingering, keeping the sweetness pinned down rather than let loose.
Oud settles in dense and a little smoky, with sandalwood, cedarwood and guaiac wood building a dry, textured floor beneath it. Vanilla is the last thing to arrive, and it stays modest — warming the woods rather than sweetening them.
