01
Scope and terminology
This Policy explains how parffolio.com uses cookies and comparable browser storage. A cookie is a small value stored by a website and returned with later requests. Similar technologies may include local storage, pixels, tags and scripts that read or write information on a device.
The inventory below describes the production-ready Parffolio implementation. Optional providers become active only when their production identifier is configured and the visitor has allowed the relevant category.
02
Consent model
Parffolio uses a prior-consent model for optional technologies. On a first visit, you can Accept all, Reject non-essential, or open Manage preferences. Optional switches are not pre-selected.
Necessary storage remains active because it supports security, consent records and functions that you specifically request. Analytics, preference and marketing technologies remain blocked unless you allow the corresponding category.
Your choice is stored locally for up to 180 days. A material change to purposes, providers or technology requires a new consent version and causes the banner to appear again.
03
Cookie categories
Necessary
Required for site security, remembering your consent choice and supporting a feature you deliberately use, such as community participation. This category cannot be switched off through the banner.
Preferences
Allows optional first-party interface preferences, such as display or discovery settings. No optional preference cookie is currently installed.
Analytics
Allows Google Analytics 4 to measure visits, navigation and aggregate site performance. This category is used only with your consent and only after a valid production Measurement ID has been configured.
Marketing
Allows Google Ads measurement, remarketing and advertising-personalisation features when those services are activated. This category is used only with your consent and only after a valid production Google Ads ID has been configured.

Current cookie and storage inventory
| Name | Provider / category | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|---|
pf_consent | Parffolio / Necessary | Stores the consent-policy version, selected categories, timestamp and a random local receipt identifier. | Up to 180 days |
pf_comment_name | Parffolio / Preferences | Remembers only the display name entered in the comment form after a successful submission. Created only when Preferences storage is allowed; the selected fragrance is never stored in this cookie. | Up to 180 days |
pf_vid | Parffolio / Necessary community function | Signed HttpOnly identifier created only after the first community submission; prevents duplicate votes, supports comment abuse controls and permits later privacy requests. | Up to one year |
_ga | Google Analytics / Analytics | Distinguishes users for aggregate analytics after Analytics consent. | Google default: up to two years |
_ga_<container-id> | Google Analytics / Analytics | Persists session state after Analytics consent. | Google default: up to two years |
_gcl_au, _gcl_aw and related _gcl_* | Google Ads / Marketing | Advertising and conversion measurement when Google Ads features are configured and Marketing consent is granted. | Commonly up to 90 days; exact duration may depend on the enabled feature |
Google may change cookie names or lifetimes as its products evolve. Parffolio will review this inventory when production tags or advertising features change.
05
Google Consent Mode v2
Parffolio implements Google Consent Mode v2 with the default states analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization set to denied before any Google tag may load.
The site uses a basic consent approach: Google Analytics and Google Ads scripts are not requested before the visitor grants the relevant category. When a choice is saved, Parffolio updates the consent state and loads only the configured services that the visitor allowed.
Analytics consent does not automatically permit advertising personalisation. Google signals and ad-personalisation settings remain disabled unless Marketing consent is also granted.
06
Change or withdraw your choice
Select Cookie settings in the footer at any time. You can save a new combination, reject all optional categories or reset the local choice so the first-layer banner appears again.
When Analytics or Marketing consent is withdrawn, Parffolio immediately sends the corresponding denied state, removes known first-party Google cookies where browser access permits and reloads the page when needed so optional tags do not restart. Cookies created on a provider’s own domain may also be managed through browser controls.
Withdrawal does not affect processing that was lawful before the withdrawal.
07
Providers and international transfers
Google Analytics and Google Ads are provided in the EEA primarily by Google Ireland Limited. Related technical processing may involve Google LLC and subprocessors outside the European Economic Area.
Where required, international transfers rely on an applicable adequacy decision, the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or another lawful safeguard. Google’s own privacy and cookie documentation provides further information about its processing.
Hosting, DNS, content-delivery and security infrastructure may process necessary request data independently of optional cookie consent. Those activities are described in the Privacy Policy.
