THREE MOMENTS, ONE EVOLVING SCENT
Lemon, bergamot, lime and orange arrive as a brilliant citrus chord. Tarragon threads a cool green tension through the brightness, keeping the opening sharp, aromatic and dramatically poised.
Rose de Mai, Jasmin de Grasse, tuberose and ylang ylang unfold at full volume. Heliotrope and violet soften the light while blackcurrant buds and peach introduce a dark, almost lacquered fruitiness.
Spice darkens the floral-fruit heart before patchouli and oakmoss establish the chypre structure. Woods, balsams, orris, labdanum and leather build a deep stage; musk, ambergris and animalic facets leave the curtain vibrating long after the performance.

THE MIND BEHIND DIAGHILEV
Roja Dove originally created Diaghilev in connection with the Victoria and Albert Museum exhibition devoted to Sergei Diaghilev and the Ballets Russes. Rather than translating that world through one decorative motif, he composes at theatrical scale: a large cast of materials, deliberate contrasts and a classical chypre foundation shaped to feel flamboyant, cultured and unmistakably present.

@Jacob totally agree about the tuxedo feeling. On my skin it starts bright and almost old fashioned then the oakmoss, leather and something a little animalic take over. not an easy perfume and definitely not one for compliments, but it feels beautifully made. I only need one spray, two was honestly too much.
It has that vintage, old-school class.. the kind of scent that makes you want to put on a tux and head to a gala, the opera, or ballet. Fitting, considering it was inspired by Sergei Diaghilev, founder of the Ballets Russes. ROJA Parfums’ DIAGHILEV is a full-on chypre, and yes, I absolutely love it. But it’s not a casual fragrance for me. It demands confidence, presence, and authority—and I’m all for that. Beautifully blended, incredible on my skin, lasts forever, and projects like a monster. I love it!
First 20 min are almost misleading - bright citrus and this plush fruity/floral thing, then it goes full old theatre velvet on me 😅 Oakmoss, leather, spice, a little animalic. Not an everyday scent at all, but when I wear a jacket and actually dress up... wow.
