French Leather is the third fragrance in Memo Paris' Cuirs Nomades collection, each one reinterpreting leather for a different place. Where Irish Leather leans equestrian and Italian Leather turns gourmand, French Leather stays close to suede — soft, powdery and a little worn-in, built around lime, pink pepper and rose rather than a harder, more animalic hide.
It reads as the memory of a handbag's lining more than an actual piece of leather — soft, powdery, and quietly sensual rather than raw.

THREE MOMENTS, ONE EVOLVING SCENT
Juniper berry and lime lead with real sparkle, bergamot adds lift, and pink pepper brings a light, tingling spice. Wearers consistently note this citrus-forward opening has real staying power, giving French Leather a lift most leather fragrances don't attempt.

ALIéNOR MASSENET FINDS THE SOFT SIDE OF LEATHER
Aliénor Massenet has composed for Memo Paris since its very first fragrance, Lalibela, in 2008, and signed the first entry in the Cuirs Nomades collection, Irish Leather, in 2014 — the same year as French Leather. Trained at Cinquième Sens under Monique Schlienger and mentored by Sophia Grojsman during two decades at IFF, she has described her approach to this fragrance's leather note in terms of comfort and calm rather than intensity, a deliberate departure from the more animalic leathers elsewhere in the collection.
