Ani takes its name from a UNESCO ruin on the Turkish-Armenian border, and the composition has that same sense of something grand gone quiet. Bright ginger and pink pepper open onto blackcurrant and Turkish rose, before patchouli, cedar and vanilla settle the whole thing into a dense, powdery warmth that sits close to skin for hours.

THREE MOMENTS, ONE EVOLVING SCENT
Bergamot and green notes flash first, cut almost immediately by ginger's heat and a rosy snap of pink pepper. It reads closer to a spice rub than a citrus cologne — bright, but with real bite.
Blackcurrant lands first, tart and a little sharp — some skin reads it as almost sour before it settles. Turkish rose follows dense and dry rather than dewy, with cardamom threading warmth between the two.
Vanilla arrives creamy rather than gourmand, held in check by benzoin and a dry cedar-patchouli base. Ambergris and musk push it close to skin, where it stays for the better part of a day without turning cloying.
