THREE MOMENTS, ONE EVOLVING SCENT
The house's own description leads with soft almond and vanilla — a powdery, faintly gourmand opening rather than the sharp citrus or raw agarwood the ASAQ name might suggest. It sets a warm, approachable tone before anything woody arrives.
The middle turns fruity — peach, raspberry and the apple the house explicitly names — wrapped around peony and jasmine. Lavender runs through it all, adding an aromatic dryness that stops the fruit from tipping into candy.
Kalakasi oud oil — a rare Cambodian-style agarwood the house prizes — anchors a light woody base alongside sandalwood, warmed by ginger, cardamom and pepper. It stays smooth rather than animalic, which is why this reads as the house's most internationally wearable blend.

Abdul Samad Al Qurashi credits no individual perfumer for Al Qurashi Blend, and that reflects how the house actually works: this is a mukhallat, a blend in the Arabian tradition, attributed to generations of the family's own perfumers rather than one named nose. The house has been composing oud-based fragrances since the mid-1850s from its base in Mecca.
