Pacific Rock Moss was the first fragrance Goldfield & Banks ever made, and it set the house's method: an Australian native material at the centre, with the region named on the bottle. Australian coastal moss from the South Coast of New South Wales anchors it, lifted by Italian lemon and French sage. At roughly 20% concentration, it stays bright rather than heavy.

THREE MOMENTS, ONE EVOLVING SCENT
The brand labels its stages sunrise, summit and sunset rather than top, heart and base — and the sunrise here is Italian lemon arriving sharp and clean, with the Australian coastal moss accord underneath almost immediately. That moss note reads salty and mineral, closer to sea spray on wet rock than to a conventional oakmoss.
French sage brings a dry, slightly camphorous herbal quality, while Egyptian geranium adds a green-rosy edge that stops the composition from reading purely as a citrus-marine freshie. This is the part that gives it an aromatic backbone rather than leaving it a simple summer cologne.
Virginia cedarwood and white musk form the base — the brand says they exist to add depth and longevity rather than to take over. It's a quiet finish by design, and also the fragrance's most debated stage: pleasant but unremarkable to some, with the drydown reading more ozonic-synthetic than actually mossy.
