BORNTOSTANDOUT built Cola Addict around what actually makes cola addictive — sugar, caffeine, acid, bubbles — and translated each element into a note. Lemon and lime peel supply the acid and fizz, cinnamon and ginger bite like carbonation, rum and caffeine carry the buzz, and vanilla, caramel and sandalwood settle it into something sweet and close to skin.

THREE MOMENTS, ONE EVOLVING SCENT
Lemon peel and lime peel lead, sharp and true to actual citrus rind, with neroli adding a white-floral lift. Cinnamon bark and ginger bite in alongside a cola-foam accord that reads more like carbonation than syrup at this stage — electric rather than sweet.
This is where the cola concept actually deepens: a genuine cola accord builds alongside a caffeine facet that reads as a faint bitter buzz, while rum adds a boozy warmth that pulls the whole thing away from soda territory. Nutmeg smooths the sharper edges into something rounder.
Cola syrup thickens into vanilla and caramel, rich and dessert-like, while sandalwood and moss press the whole thing closer to skin and keep it from turning purely sugary. This is the longest-lasting stage — the citrus and rum have faded by now, and what's left reads as warm, sweet and skin-close.

TWO PERFUMERS, ONE ENGINEERED PLEASURE
BORNTOSTANDOUT credits Cola Addict jointly to Philippine Courtière and Florent di Marino. Courtière trained originally as a lawyer before turning to perfumery, mentored by Francis Kurkdjian, Michel Almairac and Jacques Cavallier; di Marino trained at ISIPCA and has created for houses including Jo Malone London and L'Artisan Parfumeur. Together they built a fragrance meant to translate cola's engineered appeal — sugar, caffeine, acid, bubbles — directly into scent.
