FRANCIS KURKDJIAN · AN IDEA FOUND IN A MATERIAL
At the London launch in 2012, Francis Kurkdjian told Persolaise that an ISIPCA student had introduced him to amyris oil. He connected its name with the French sound of “soul of iris.” That encounter offers a concrete starting point for the fragrance: a material, an association, then a composition.
