Blue Talisman Extrait takes a scent famous for luminosity and gives that luminosity mass. The pear is brighter than fruit, the florals are warmer than flowers, and the woods feel less like timber than a soft architecture holding the whole thing in place.
I do not think its greatest achievement is strength. It is control: turning a potentially loud fruity-musky formula into something dense, polished and close enough to feel personal. The risk is the same thing that makes it distinctive. If the hyperreal pear, abstract musk or creamy sandalwood clashes with your skin, there is nowhere for it to hide.
